Don’t let the size of this ranch fool you, the Jones Ranch is a wildlife mecca in the sandhills of West Texas. This ranch is surrounded by larger ranches and is uniquely set as a funnel for wildlife to travel through. The large mesquites and shinnery oak provide a great cover/habitat for Mule deer, Whitetail deer, feral hogs, javelina, Quail, dove, and variety of predators. The quail population on this ranch is superior with the dove population being equally exceptional making this a blue ribbon bird ranch. The mule deer on this ranch are trophy quality and it is my opinion that a person could expect to harvest 2 mature bucks per year on this ranch upwards of the 170″ range.
The Jones Ranch has exceptional water with wells producing 40+ GPMs as well as several wildlife watering stations scattered throughout the ranch. This fantastic ranch comes complete with a really nice 2015 manufactured home set on concrete footers and anchored down, a fenced yard with a sprinkler system, and a caliche drive with a double car carport. Also included on this ranch is a 40′ storage container that is set-up as a shop.
The Jones Ranch is located 15 miles just south of Penwell, TX on FM 1601 as well as only 30 minutes southwest of Odessa, TX and sits back off the busy road, which adds to the peacefulness and serene ambiance of this fabulous ranch.
